Our Canine Emergency First Aid course is run by GTA-accredited trainer Zoë Goode of Sintonsand Canine Services and is suitable for pet owners and professionals alike who want to be prepared should a dog need emergency treatment.

Zoë, formerly a registered veterinary nurse for over a decade, delivers an excellent balance of theoretical and practical learning to ensure attendees have the knowledge required should they ever be faced with an emergency first aid situation.

Running from 9am to 4:30pm on Thursday 13th June 2024, the day is professional but fun and designed to be very interactive. Alongside a visual presentation, there will be practical bandaging and CPR sessions using training aids, live demo dogs, and specialist dog CPR manikins. Attendees will also receive a dog first aid guide.

The course covers the most commonly faced canine needs, such as how to treat injury, dressing wounds, allergic reactions, stings, poisoning, choking, seizures, CPR, hypothermia and much more.

You can choose whether you want to do the CPD accreditation or the enhanced, Ofqual-regulated, iPet Network Level 3 Award in Canine Emergency First Aid, which lasts for 3 years before requiring a refresher training day. Please note the deadline for booking a place with the Level 3 certification is the end of May.

There will also be the option to purchase first aid kits from Zoë as well as extra supplies for any kits you already have.

This course will be held at the Clicker Gundog Training Centre, Ryden Lane, Charlton, Worcestershire, WR10 3LQ.
